"Nordfyns Erhvervsråd" has elected Alex Andersen Ølund A/S as the company of the year 2007 on the North of Funen.
The choice was explained using these words:

The company has shown how combining hard work with good business sense makes it possible to start up a business on a small scale and control the growth so that it becomes one of the leading companies in the business in Denmark.

The former owners of the company have shown how to hand over a family owned company to the next generation with success – both on an economical and personal level.

The company has demonstrated a big social commitment and has been able to keep the family-like culture despite of the unusual growth the company has been through – both locally and on a European level.

As a role model for others, the company has shown that it is still possible to create a successful company on Funen.
Alex Andersen Ølund A/S has been very proud to accept the award and is grateful for the effort all of the employees have made in order to achieve the result.
The Andersen family accepted the award at the annual general meeting of "Erhvervsrådet" on Thursday the 7th of February 2008.
