Alex Andersen Ølund A/S has been elected "Årets Transportvirksomhed 2007" by DLTs (Danish Transport and Logistic) at the annual general meeting in Ålborg on Saturday the 12th of May 2007.

The award is described by the chairman, Jørgen Egeskov Jensen, as the Reumert-award of the transport business.

Alex Andersen Ølund A/S were nominated because they in March 2007 were elected to receive the award for "Transport Business of the Year" by ITD (International Transport Denmark)

The other nominees for the award were the 4 winners of the regional election of "Dansk Transport og Logistik" (Danish Transport and Logistics) and the winners from "Dansk Møbeltransport Forening" (The Danish association of furniture-transportation) and "Årets Transportvirksomheder" (Transport company of the year) by ITD.

The judging committee consisting of 10 people commented on the appointment by saying that Alex Andersen Ølund A/S is the company that has:

• A goal oriented mission of becoming the total supplier of quality transports of plants for customers in Europe and Scandinavia
• A visionary strategy
• A professional utilization of IT-platforms
• A vision with regard to educational programs for the employees
• An impressive growth rate since the start-up of company in 1964
