We have chosen to acquire the company Ove Østergaard seeing that we are a small company in the larger European context. Ove Østergaard is already a well known name in Europe and it is therefore an obvious choice to buy a company like this. To avoid conflicts of interests GASA GROUP A/S is no longer a part of the ownership of Ove Østergaard – Lund ApS.
Both companies are specialized in flower distribution and are well known names in the business.
Ove Østergaard is the largest distributor of Danish plants to Germany, Holland, Belgium, England, and France. The head office is situated in Blommenslyst on Funen and it has departments in Holland and in Luxembourg. We are the largest flower distributor in Scandinavia and have departments in Aarhus, Copenhagen, and Helsingborg in Sweden. With this merger we hope to be able to make the transports to and from Europe and Scandinavia more effective. In the long term we will make the merger even more effective by putting the two head offices together. We still don’t have any exact plans on when and where this will happen but we wish to move closer to the motorway than we are today.
For the employees in the two companies there will not be any changes at the moment and Ove Østergaard will continue as the managing director for Ove Østergaard – Lund ApS.
Now we are a company of 350 employees and have more than 200 lorries.
