Exporting flowers to Central- and Northern Europe
 
In Alex Andersen Ølund A/S we offer daily depatures to a large number of European countries. Our market domain does not only include Scandinavia: Sweden, Norway, and Finland but also many other European countries: Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Holland, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic and England.

Out of the total production of plants in Denmark just under half are exported. Germany and Sweden are the largest buyers with 26 pct.. England buys 10 pct..

It is possible to get your flowers transported on flower containers from anywhere in Denmark to almost all the countries listed above. This kind of transportation is called the container freight concept. You can read more about the container freight concept here

Another variant when exporting is the possibility of booking an entire lorry. We have lorries with trailers in all sizes at our disposal and the customer can in these situations plan the route, decide the order of deliveries, and if they want to bring back return freight.

With quite a few lorries constantly on the road all over Europe we return lots of parcels to Denmark. We also transport parcels - both temperature sensitive and regular - within Denmark.

Transports from Holland

Holland is the market from where most flowers are transported. It is not just a lot of Danish wholesale dealers who are importing flowers from Holland. There are also a lot of wholesale dealers in other European countries who import from there. A lot of the plants transported to Denmark are distributed to the other Scandinavian countries and all over Denmark.
